About Us

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”45px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Tim Farr has always been fascinated with buildings; building them, managing them, letting them and maintaining them. In his youth, Tim trained and then worked as a brick-layer and plasterer; however, he soon moved off the tools, subsequently managing over 1million square foot of workshop and office space for local councils and business development organizations with a responsibility for anything from grounds maintenance and running repairs to comprehensive tenancy management, office refurbishment and even the complete conversion of a listed museum!

Having successfully completed Prince 2, APMP and MSP (Managing Successful Programmes), Tim has undertaken a broad range of projects from business rebranding, relocation through to rating management and still keeps his hand-in with grass roots building projects.

All this goes to give Tim a complete understanding of just how buildings need to work for the people who work in them and the people who own them, invest in them and live in them.

Why Spinnaker?

As a young boy, Tim spent many hours in and around sailing boats with his father.  As he grew up, Tim got his own boat and sailed single-handed.  That passion remains today, and the name Spinnaker PM is a fitting tribute to the man who taught him to manage the wind in his sails.

A spinnaker is a sail designed to maximise speed when sailing in the same direction as the wind.  The spinnaker fills with wind and balloons out in front of the boat: this is called flying.

Spinnaker PM works with its clients, helping them to stay ahead of the game by taking up the challenges that come with running buildings and projects successfully; this too is called flying.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
